How do I get my money back?
Have you recently bought a cross-country skiing pass or a bike helmet? Are you a member of a sports club or gym? Then we will help you stay fit and healthy.
Requirements
- ÖKK PREVENTION can only be taken out as an addition to ÖKK START.
- Offerings must take place in Switzerland and be led by a specialist (in one-to-one format)
- Offerings are not transferable to another person.
- Courses in the Movement area must comprise at least ten lessons/sessions.
- Gym and indoor swimming pool memberships must be for a period of at least six months.
- Cycling technique courses must be offered by a certified Swiss Cycling guide or a partner organisation of Swiss Cycling. You can find an overview of these partners here.
- Bike services, bike fittings and seat position analyses must be carried out by an official dealer in your name (name must be shown on the receipt submitted).
- Courses must be offered by schools that are members of the Association of Swiss Cross-country Skiing Schools (Verband Schweizer Langlaufschulen, VSLS). An overview of the schools can be found here.

There are various ways for you to submit an invoice for a bike service, swimming pool subscription or sports club membership fee to ÖKK, for example.
- Scan the document with the myÖKK app and submit it directly
- Scan / photograph the document and upload it via myoekk.ch

- Make a copy of the document and send the original by mail to your agency
All of the following preventative examinations are covered by your basic insurance: vaccinations (as per the Swiss vaccination schedule), colonoscopies and skin examinations for patients with family histories of conditions, up to eight preventative examinations for pre-school children, urological check-ups, gynaecological check-ups incl. smear tests every three years and mammographies. A complete overview can be found in the Health Care Benefits Ordinance (KLV).
Unless medically prescribed, you must pay for any preventative examinations that do not appear in the list, unless you have concluded a relevant supplementary insurance policy, such as ÖKK PREVENTION. This insurance covers up to 90% of the costs of selected preventative examinations, check-ups and vaccinations.
You receive 50% (up to CHF 300) per calendar year (Movement area) for your gym membership.
You receive up to CHF 500 per calendar year for all preventative measures across all areas (Family, Nutrition, Movement, Other prevention).
When you take out the two supplementary insurance policies ÖKK START and ÖKK PREVENTION, you will automatically benefit from BikeBonus and NordicBonus. Both offers are integrated into the health account (other prevention). As such, you receive 50% or up to CHF 300 per calendar year – and together with the other areas (see previous question), up to CHF 500 per calendar year.
