Dental treatment
Choose from four different premium levels to ensure you have the ideal level of supplementary cover. This means that you have some say in the ÖKK cost-sharing amount.
* ÖKK START is the compact addition to your basic insurance and forms the basis for many other ÖKK supplementary insurance policies.
ÖKK OPTION is also a recommended add-on. It guarantees that in future, you will be accepted into our supplementary insurance policies. More information can be found here.

- ÖKK SMILE can only be taken out as an addition to ÖKK START.
- After concluding the policy, certain waiting periods apply; these are known as qualifying periods.

Once you have your permanent teeth and they are aligned, there are fewer obvious changes that take place in your mouth. However, taking preventative measures is still advisable and adults can also require orthodontic treatment, root canal treatments and dental prostheses. That is why it is a good idea for adults to have proper dental cover.
When you apply for supplementary insurance, a dental examination is required and then a decision will be made on whether you are accepted into the policy. We recommend taking out insurance before your child is born (three years free of charge), as they are guaranteed to be accepted into the policy.
With ÖKK SMILE supplementary insurance, you can properly protect yourself against high dental costs in line with your needs.
You decide which of the four premium options to include in your contract: ÖKK SMILE 1,000, ÖKK SMILE 1,500, ÖKK SMILE 3,000 and ÖKK SMILE 5,000.
Depending on the module you select, ÖKK pays different contributions towards your dental costs. All modules cover treatments carried out in neighbouring countries of Switzerland. It is also free of charge for children up to three years of age.
After concluding the policy, there is a qualifying period (waiting period) for dental treatments.
