The digital medical advice can be obtained from Medgate free of charge by all ÖKK customers, no matter what model of basic insurance they have selected. They only have to pay for the local-rate telephone call.
With the ÖKK BASIS, ÖKK CASAMED GENERAL PRACTITIONER and ÖKK CASAMED HMO basic insurance models, you must adhere to the point of contact agreed in the model if you have any medical issues. You can call the toll-free number (0844 655 655) particularly at night, on weekends and in emergencies.
Customers with the ÖKK CASAMED 24 or ÖKK CASAMED SELECT basic insurance model you must always contact Medgate first by phone on 0848 227 224 or via the app with any medical issues (with CASAMED SELECT, they can also contact a partner pharmacist).
In the event of emergencies or gynaecological, paediatric or optometric treatment, you may contact a specialist directly.

- Enter your symptoms.
- The app recommends whether it makes sense to receive treatment from a Medgate doctor by phone, video or chat, or to visit your general practitioner.
- With Medgate, you can easily arrange an appointment via the app and choose whether you want this by phone, video call or via chat.
- The doctor will then contact you at the agreed time.
- You can use the app to send any additional documents to the specialist treating you when booking the appointment.
- After the consultation, you will then receive a personal treatment plan via the app.
The app meets all the latest data protection requirements. Data is sent on an encrypted basis and is password-protected to prevent access by third parties. Users have to identify themselves using a piece of ID and their insurance card in order to have full use of the app.
